FORGIVENESS
Matthew 6:15 (AMP)
But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.
I love the amplified version of this verse as it literally translates the original Greek meaning intended by the Holy Spirit through the writer. The definition of forgiveness is first leaving, letting go and giving up.
The first thing to do is walk away if your dialogue and reasoning is not taking effect in the negotiation phase of healing.
Secondly, let go of any anchor of ill feelings which is now harbored in the secret chambers of your heart.
Thirdly, give up that resentment entirely and clear your mind as you have now taken all the necessary steps to clear your part.
Clear your heart, mind and ultimately your body as these things will certainly trigger stressors in your physiological and psychological system which can impact your overall health. God’s temple which is your body, soul and mind need to be maintained as fit and clear of any unwanted, unwarranted weight of sin and excess fat.
Today, make that phone call, meet that individual over lunch and make amends to say “I forgive you.”
